Privacy Policy
What we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
910 Sanitation is a family-owned residential trash and recycling service in Onslow County, North Carolina. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, email us at office@910sanitation.com and we will explain it plainly.
What We Collect
We only collect what we need to set up and bill your service. That means:
- When you sign up: your name, service address, billing address, phone number, email address, the plan and can quantity you choose, and your payment details.
- When you update your card: your name, service address, billing address, phone number, email address, and your new payment details.
- When you contact us through the website: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in your message.
We do not ask for a date of birth, a Social Security number, or a bank login, and you should never send those to us by email.
How We Handle Your Card
Your card details are passed straight to Converge, the payment service operated by Elavon, which sends back a secure reference number in place of your card. We store only that reference, the card brand, and the last four digits. We never store your full card number, expiration date, or security code, and nobody in our office can read them back from the website.
Converge holds your card so we can run your scheduled payment. Their handling of it is governed by their own terms and by card industry security rules.
Why We Use It
- To deliver your cans and put your address on the right route.
- To bill you on the schedule you chose, and to take the prorated first payment.
- To contact you about your account, your delivery date, a declined payment, or a change to the schedule.
- To keep the business records we are required to keep.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build a profile of you.
Who We Share It With
We share your information only with the services we need to run the business:
- Converge (Elavon), to store your card and process payments.
- QuickBooks, our accounting system, which holds your customer record and billing history.
- Our email and website hosting providers, which carry the messages between us.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone. We will only hand it to law enforcement or a court if we are legally required to.
Cookies and Tracking
This website does not run advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or social media pixels, and it does not set advertising cookies. If you visit the site and never fill in a form, we do not learn who you are.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your account information for as long as you are a customer, and afterwards for as long as we need it for our accounting and tax records. When you cancel, we remove your stored card from Converge so it cannot be charged again.
Your Choices
Email office@910sanitation.com and we will:
- tell you what information we hold about you,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- remove the card we have on file,
- or delete your information, as long as we are not required to keep it for our records.
Cancelling your service stops the automatic payments. See our terms of service for how cancellation works.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted connection, and payment details go directly to Converge rather than being kept on our website. No system is perfect, so if we ever discover a problem that affects your information, we will tell you.
Children’s Privacy
This is a residential trash service and the website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page. Anything significant will be mentioned when we email you.
